Hope is for the weary. Hope is for the broken. Hope is for the underdog, the doubter, the sick, the hurting and the discouraged. Hope is not a denial that we experience difficulty. It’s not a refusal to acknowledge that we still have hardship to endure, losses to mourn and questions to answer. It’s not a head in the sand, pie in the sky outlook. Hope is a belief that even in spite of difficulty, we still have a reason to move forward. It’s a belief that God is still in control and He is still for us. It’s a firm resolve that we can and will find peace, support, strength, direction and renewal in Him!
We are proclaiming September and October a Season of Hope here at POCC. We are refocusing on the eternal hope that we have in Jesus Christ. We are convinced that God can and will turn our trials into victory and that He will turn what the enemy meant to destroy us for our good. We will not allow struggle to drive us from God, but we will choose to turn to God in hope.
